Hyde Werneth’s Conservative councillors are joining up with the Ward’s local police team during 2010 to host a programme of joint surgeries.
The surgeries will be held on the first Wednesday of every month at Dowson Primary School, Gloucester Road, Gee Cross, between 7-8pm – with the first meeting taking place next Wednesday (3rd February).
Cllr. Ruth Welsh said, “At our normal ward surgeries, we receive many enquiries from residents regarding community safety matters, which we then have to forward on to the local police team for assistance with.
“While we will be continuing with our normal surgeries, these new joint surgeries with the police team will be an excellent way for residents to get an immediate answer to their community safety concerns.”
